The purpose of this leaflet is to define the application, structure, allocation and cancellation of the standard code used to identify companies involved in a rail-transport chain.
These codes are published in accordance with the present leaflet by UIC Headquarters and the OSJD Committee (hereinafter referred to as "UIC" and "OSJD").

Die Codes werden von der UIC-Generaldirektion und dem Komitee der OSShD - nachfolgend "UIC" und "OSShD" genannt - in übereinstimmung mit dem vorliegenden Merkblatt veröffentlicht.
