Chapter 7 introduces the Rolling Stock Maintenance tools (organizational and technological) Chapter 8 describes Cost evaluation methodology to enable comparison among the maintenance processes implemented by different companies and for different service applications, thus providing guidelines that may be used to improve rolling stock maintenance efficiency and cost savings. Chapter 9 defines the Rolling Stock Maintenance Management System (RSMMS) and its functionalities. Chapter 10 defines Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of Rolling stock maintenance to be used in calls for tender or to assess supplier processes.
