Intelligent marine equipment, marine data communication, and marine energy are the focus of this report. The global and national progress of marine standardization is reviewed, existing problems and challenges are analyzed, and countermeasures to promote high-quality development of marine standardization are put forward. These fields are highly compatible with IEEE’s standardization work in electrical engineering, electronics, communications, and artificial intelligence. Relying on platforms such as the IEEE SA Industry Connections Program, theoretical guidance and actionable solutions for regional marine standardization practices are provided, and the integration of regional experience into global standardization collaboration is facilitated.
