IEC 61558-2-16:2021 deals with the safety of switch mode power supply units and transformers for switch mode power supply units. This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition published in 2009 and amendment 1:2013. This edition constitutes a technical revision. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition: - adjustment of structure and references in accordance with IEC 61558-1:2017; - definitions of different voltage characteristics; - partial discharge and description of constructions moved to IEC 61558-1:2017; - alternative method for dimensioning of clearances; - removal of requirements for homogeneous field conditions. It has the status of a group safety publication in accordance with IEC Guide 104. This International Standard is to be used in conjunction with IEC 61558-1:2017. The contents of the corrigendum 1 (2023-09) have been included in this copy. LIEC 61558-2-16:2021 traite de la securite des blocs dalimentation a decoupage et des transformateurs pour blocs dalimentation a decoupage. Cette deuxieme edition annule et remplace la premiere edition parue en 2009 et lamendement 1:2013. Cette edition constitue une revision technique. Elle inclut les modifications techniques majeures suivantes par rapport a ledition precedente: - ajustement de la structure et des references conformement a lIEC 61558-1:2017; - definition de differentes caracteristiques de tension; - deplacement de la decharge partielle et de la description des constructions dans lIEC 61558-1:2017; - specification dune methode alternative pour le dimensionnement des distances disolement; - suppression des exigences relatives aux conditions de champs homogenes. La version francaise de la norme na pas ete soumise au vote. Il a le statut de publication groupee de securite conformement au Guide IEC 104. Cette Norme internationale doit etre utilisee conjointement avec lIEC 61558-1:2017. Le contenu du corrigendum 1 (2023-09) a ete pris en consideration dans cet exemplaire.
