This specification covers the general requirements for the Type IV Cargo Bed Cover (CBC). The Type IV Cargo Bed Cover is a removable general purpose rigid enclosure for the cargo bed of the M923, 5 Ton Cargo Truck/M1083, 5 Ton Medium Tactical Vehicle (MTV)/M1095, 5 Ton MTV Trailer. The CBC provides environmental protection and security for mission equipment and items of general transport. Materials shall be tested and shall conform to the general requirements such as first article, conformance, operating requirements, support and ownership requirements, environmental requirements, and interface and operability requirements.
