Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Feinheit von Garnen aus Glasfasern, Kohlenstoff- und Aramidfasern und alle anderen Verstärkungsgarne fest. Sie gilt für alle Garne, d. h. Einfachgarne, ein- und mehrstufige Game, texturierte Garne, Rovings und Stapelfasergarne.
