Diese Europäische Norm beschreibt ein Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung des Gehaltes an Diisopropylnaphthalin (DIPN) in Papier, Karton und Zellstoff mittels Lösemittelextraktion. Der Gehalt an Diisopropylnaphthalin (DIPN) wird in mg Diisopropylnaphthalin-Isomere je Kilogramm Papier, Karton oder Zellstoff angegeben. Dieses Prüfverfahren ist für die quantitative Bestimmung des Gesamtgehaltes an Diisopropylnaphthalin (DIPN) mit einer Bestimmungsgrenze von etwa 0,6 mg/kg geeignet.
