Annotation of standard text IRS 40410-1ed. :

This IRS defines the following conditions to be observed for the operation of passenger trains consisting of locomotives and vehicles of the types listed in point 2: - maximum train composition limit expressed in number of vehicles, axles, hauled tonnage and trainset length; - calculation of the weight of trains (tare + inclusive weight specified in the IRS); - calculation of the minimum braked weight percentage. It sets out recommendations for braking in winter conditions.

Zugbildung und Festlegung der Last und der Bremsung der Reisezüge| In dieser IRS werden die Bedingungen beschrieben, die beim Verkehr von Reisezügen einzuhalten sind, die aus Lokomotiven und den unter Punkt 2 genannten Fahrzeugtypen bestehen: - maximale Anzahl der Wagen, Radsätze, maximale Wagenzugmasse und Länge der Wagengruppe; - Ermittlung der Zugmasse (Eigengewicht + im Merkblatt angegebene Pauschallast); - Bestimmung der Mindestbremshundertstel. Das IRS enthält Empfehlungen zur Funktion der Bremse unter Winterbedingungen.
