Anotace textu normy ASTM D4802-16(2024) :

This specification covers monolithic methacrylate sheets produced by various processes. For this specification, methacrylate sheet shall be composed of polymerized acrylic monomers of which at least 80% shall be methyl methacrylate. Materials shall be classified under categories and finishes: Category A-1; Category A-2; Category B-1; and Category B-2.Finish 1; Finish 2; Finish 3; Type UVF; and Type UVT. Tests shall be performed to determine the properties of the material in accordance with following test methods: test conditions; index of refraction; specific gravity; luminous transmittance; haze; water-absorption; shrinkage; thermal stability; deflection temperature under flexural load; tensile strength and elongation at break; impact strength; spectral transmittance of Type UVF and UVT sheet; abrasion resistance; coating adhesion; and chemical resistance.
